One-to-One Coaching
When nothing you’ve tried has created the change you want, you may be solving the wrong problem.
A focused process for understanding what your best efforts have missed—and discovering a more effective way forward.
How the Coaching Process Works
✓ We begin the Immunity to Change™ mapping process by identifying one meaningful change you want to make, something that, if it shifted, could significantly improve your work, life, relationships, or overall sense of well-being.
✓ Choosing the right focus matters. A powerful map begins with a clear, personally important goal connected to something you genuinely want, not simply something you think you should want.
✓ The map itself is a simple four-column structure, built through a series of precise steps. I’ll ask focused questions that help you discover what may lie beneath your usual explanations and put the pieces together in a way that is clear and personally meaningful.
✓ This is not a worksheet you complete on your own. The strength of the process lies in the questions we explore together, especially those that reveal what may feel at risk, what you may be protecting yourself from, and the assumptions that have quietly shaped your choices.
Mapping and Testing
The Invisible Made Visible
As the map develops, what initially seemed like a problem with motivation, discipline, or follow-through often begins to make sense in a different light. You can see not only what has been keeping the pattern in place but also why part of you has had a compelling reason to maintain it.
Designing Safe Modest Experiential Tests
From there, we use what the map reveals to design small, carefully chosen experiential tests that help you explore whether the assumptions that hold the pattern in place are as true as they have seemed.
Gathering Data
These tests are not dramatic leaps or attempts to force change. They are safe, modest, real-world experiments designed to gently push the edges of your comfort zone and help you gather new evidence. Each one gives you an opportunity to see what actually happens when you respond differently, rather than continuing to rely on an assumption that may never have been fully examined.
The Learning Extends Beyond One Goal
Although the process begins with one important goal, what you learn often extends far beyond it. You begin to recognize how similar assumptions and protective patterns may operate in other areas of your life, and you leave with a practical framework you can use whenever another meaningful change feels unexpectedly difficult.
How This Work Is Different
● Most approaches begin by asking what you need to do differently: build better habits, create a stronger plan, boost your confidence, or hold yourself more accountable.
● Those strategies can be useful, but not when the real obstacle lies beneath the problem you are trying to solve.
● Immunity to Change™ looks beyond visible behavior to uncover the hidden fears, commitments, and assumptions that may be working against the change you consciously want. Once that system is clear, the work is no longer about forcing yourself to try harder.
● At first, the goal is not to change the behavior. It is to gather information about the pattern that drives it. Through small, carefully designed experiments, you begin to test the assumptions underlying the pattern and determine whether the risks you anticipate are as real or as inevitable as they have seemed.
● As you gather new evidence, those assumptions can begin to loosen their grip. You have more room to respond in ways that once felt difficult or unavailable, and change begins to emerge with less force and struggle.
● The process is gradual by design. Rather than pushing for quick results, it helps you grow beyond the limits that have shaped your choices, making the change increasingly natural and sustainable.
How Change May Show Up
› You may find that decisions that once felt loaded become easier to make.
› You may feel less pulled between what you want and the part of you that has been holding back.
› You may begin taking actions that once required enormous effort—not because you are forcing yourself harder, but because the assumptions that made those actions feel risky no longer have the same hold.
› You may become less reactive when familiar fears or doubts appear and more able to pause, consider what matters, and choose your response.
› You may feel more confident setting boundaries, speaking honestly, taking risks, or moving forward with decisions you have postponed.
› Patterns that once felt automatic may become easier to recognize before they take over.
› You may also become more willing to tolerate uncertainty, disappointment, or discomfort without immediately retreating into old habits.
› Over time, this can create greater freedom, confidence, flexibility, and self-trust—along with a growing ability to make choices that reflect who you are and how you want to live.
This Work May Be Right for You If:
- You have made a sincere effort to change, but the same difficulty keeps recurring.
- You know the usual explanations no longer tell the whole story, but you still cannot see what is keeping the pattern in place.
- You are tired of assuming the problem is a lack of discipline, motivation, confidence, or follow-through.
- You want to understand why one part of you is committed to change while another part keeps holding back.
- You are willing to closely examine the beliefs and assumptions that shape your choices and to test whether they are as true as they have seemed.
- You want a practical process to help you approach meaningful change with greater clarity, freedom, and self-trust.
